Michelle Williams Wins The 2011 Hollywood Actress Award

Michelle Williams Wins The 2011 Hollywood Actress Award and she definitely deserves it. It was announced yesterday, September 28th, that she will win the award at the 15th annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Film Awards. This 31 year old actresses has an impressive lineup of films that will be due out soon enough such as “Meek’s Cutoff,” “Take This Waltz” and “My Week with Marilyn Monroe,” in which Michelle Williams Transform Into Marilyn Monroe.

Carlos de Abreu, founder of event, told press, “It is a privilege to honor Michelle for her excellent talent and remarkable career.” The event will take place at the Beverly Hilton on October 24th of this year. Other winners before Williams are Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron and Diane Lane.

In a recent interview, Williams has expressed that she doesn’t want to act her entire life. She would love to explore other options that may come her way. She starts off by stating, “I often dream of quitting acting. Walking away and becoming a laundress or a sous chef or maybe writing other people’s love letters for a living.”

She added, “Clearly, I don’t like to be in charge. And thinking of quitting is just keeping going in disguise. When you have options, anything is bearable. It’s when a situation is inescapable that it becomes hell. It seems to me that as soon as you get good at something, it is a sure sign that it is about to walk out of your life because it ceases to hold your mind and creative energy hostage.”

Most actors and actresses begin wanting to explore other avenues of career choice due to them wanting more out of life. They turn towards fashion, music, restaurant etc types of industries. Once they have made it to fame it can be easier to transition into another career path. I don’t see her leaving the acting world anytime soon, but I do wonder what else she would be truly doing if not acting.
